Job Summary

The Fire Sprinkler Service Foreman is responsible for leading the inspection, testing, repair, and minor installation of fire sprinkler systems across Aoka’s federal, state, and municipal projects. This is a working foreman role, combining hands-on technical expertise with supervision of field teams and subcontractors. The Foreman ensures projects are completed safely, in accordance with NFPA standards, contract requirements, and Aoka’s quality expectations. The role includes job site coordination, documentation, and direct client interaction.

Qualifications

  • NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout or Inspection & Testing preferred; or equivalent supervisory field experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of fire sprinkler system experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proficient in NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 code requirements.
  • Experience reading construction drawings, riser diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct small crews or subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with mobile platforms and digital reporting tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Ability to pass a background check for access to secure government facilities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead field execution of fire sprinkler system inspections, testing, service, and repairs on wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action systems.
  • Supervise and coordinate technicians and subcontractors during service calls and small construction scopes.
  • Interpret technical documents including sprinkler plans, riser diagrams, and specifications to guide execution.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions to clients or project management.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 13, 25, IFC, IBC, and applicable state or local codes.
  • Complete digital service logs, inspection reports, photo documentation, and deficiency notices.
  • Coordinate with Aoka’s Project Manager and government site representatives to schedule and plan work.
  • Support procurement of materials and review subcontractor quotes for accuracy.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working condition.
  • Contribute to and enforce site-specific safety protocols in coordination with Aoka’s safety standards.


Performance Indicators:
  • Completion of sprinkler service scopes on schedule with full code compliance.
  • Accurate and timely submission of reports, inspection data, and deficiency notices.
  • Effective field leadership with minimal safety or quality issues.
  • Positive client interactions and coordination on-site.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and operational standards

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year based on experience and qualifications.
