We are seeking an experienced Federal Proposal Writer to join our team and help us secure government contracts by developing high-quality, compliant, and persuasive proposals.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of minimum experience in federal proposal writing, with a proven track record of winning government contracts.
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, including FAR and DFARS.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an emphasis on clarity, compliance, and persuasiveness.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical information into clear, concise, and compelling content.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with proposal management software (e.g., SharePoint, GovWin, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with proposal development for agencies such as [specific agencies, e.g., DoD, DHS, GSA, HUD, DOI].
  • APMP certification or equivalent proposal management certification preferred.
  • Experience with IDIQs, and small business set aside.

Responsibilities

 Job Description:

As a Federal Proposal Writer, you will be responsible for creating, writing, and editing proposals in response to federal government solicitations, including Sources Sought, Pre-solicitations, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs. You will work closely with subject matter experts, business development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure proposals are compelling, compliant, and aligned with the requirements of federal procurement processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs to understand the requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.
  • Research, write, and edit technical and non-technical proposal sections, including executive summaries, past performance, and technical approach.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., business development, capture management, operations, finance) to gather content, ensure accuracy, and develop win themes.
  • Manage the proposal development process, including creating proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and schedules.
  • Review and revise proposals to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and specific solicitation requirements.
  • Work with graphic designers to develop visuals that enhance the proposal's impact.
  • Conduct final proposal reviews and coordinate proposal production and submission.
  • Maintain a library of proposal templates, boilerplate content, and past performance data.
  • Stay current on federal procurement trends, regulations, and best practices.

Education
